I have my LUTCF designation which stands for Life Underwriter Training Council Fellowship.  This is a industry designation that requires  150 hours of class room training plus the passing of required tests.  I am also an approved instructor for Ivy Tech College in teaching Indiana State pre-licensing class for applicants wishing to obtain insurance licenses in Property and Casualty and Life and Health.

My agency has earned numerous trips, awards, and recognitions, including Leaders Forum and Chairman's Conference.     It the five years at the Brazil office, I earned numerous Agency of the Month awards, three-time winner of the Honor Ring Award, and the designation as a Premier Service Agency for outstanding sales and servicing levels of production to new and existing clients. 
 
Currently, I am a member of Allstate's Regional Advisory Board for the States of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.   I am also a member of the National Pioneer Technology Agents for Allstate.  This board tests and recommends new uses of technology for the Company.

My wife, Sandy, and  live in the community.  I am active in Rotary, Clay County YMCA board of directors, Past President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial advisors, member of the Clay County Indiana State University Alumni Club, Past-President of the Clay County Chamber of commerce,, Chairman of the Charles B. Hall Memorial monument committee., Member of the Indiana University Varsity Club.  I am also a supporter and contributor  to  Clay Youth League Baseball, Clay Youth Football League, Brazil Rotary July 4th Celebration sponsor,  Northview marching band and numerous Varsity sports teams of Northview High School. 

Oh yes, I'm a big  fan of Indiana basketball, Indianapolis Colts football, and while not very good, an avid golf fan and golfer. 

Local ties in the area; attended Gosport elementary, graduated from Spencer High School and Indiana State University. 

After a seventeen year career in retailing with the last six years as owner, I switched careers and entered the insurance industry.   As a former district manager for Farmers Insurance for 18 years, I helped a number of new agents start their own agencies in the Terre Haute, Brazil, Bloomington, Evansville and Indianapolis areas.  In 2005, I took early retirement and purchased the local Allstate agency here in Brazil.

In 2010, I purchased an additional agency in Terre Haute and am combining the two into one office in downtown Brazil.

My staff consists of  Jamee Reberger,  daughter of Jim and Deanna Sheese, is life long resident of the community.  Married to John Reberger and they have 2 children, John Adam and Loren.  Jamee has been associated with Allstate since 1997.   During the past year we added William (Bill) McDonald, Sr.   Bill is a life-long community leader and has held previous positions in the insurance and banking industry.  Kelly Lewis helps our agency in the areas of life insurance, annuities, and retirement planning.
